Terms of service: Long URL Field for Jira
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These terms are between you, the organisation that installs the Jira Cloud app Long URL Field for Jira ("the app"), and Datadelight ("we"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not install the app.
The app
The app runs on Atlassian Forge. It adds a Long URL custom field type that stores a link of up to 32,671 characters whole, and an administration page that copies links from other fields, sets one link on many work items, and checks and repairs stored values. A value longer than the limit is refused with a message. Your use of Jira itself is governed by your agreement with Atlassian.
Your licence
While the app is installed, you may use it on your Jira Cloud sites for your own business. You may not resell, sublicense or reverse engineer it, or use it to break the law or Atlassian's terms.
Your responsibility for changes
You decide which work items are changed. The administration page counts or previews before it writes, and asks you to confirm; check the count and the JQL query first. Set one link on many work items replaces whatever the chosen Long URL field holds on each work item the query finds, and Copy replaces existing values only if you tick the box that says so. The app cannot undo a change. Jira's own bulk edit panel and CSV importer are not part of the app; the documentation says how they behave with this field.
Fees
If the app is offered for a fee, Atlassian bills you for it through the Atlassian Marketplace, on Atlassian's terms. We do not bill you directly.
Your data
Field values are stored by Jira in your site. The app stores nothing of its own and sends nothing outside Atlassian. Our privacy policy explains what it reads and logs.
Support
Contact support@accounts.datadelight.co. We aim to help, but we do not promise a response time unless we agree one with you in writing.
Changes to the app and these terms
We may change or stop offering the app. If we stop offering it, we will give reasonable notice where we can. We may update these terms. The new version applies from the date shown above, and continuing to use the app means you accept it.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it is error-free or fits a particular purpose.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
